This work tells the story of Ibuki Alan (played by Ayano Tsuyoshi), who has excellent mobility and motor nerves in the police "Mobile Search Team", but has no experience in criminal investigations and lacks criminal police common sense. She has excellent observation and social skills, but she doesn't trust herself. The story of the two main characters, Kazumi Shima (played by Gen Hoshino), who is a rational detective, aim to solve the case within 24 hours. The "MIU" in the title is the initials of the Mobile Investigative Unit (Mobile Investigative Unit), and "404" is the call signal for the duo to act as the Mobile Investigative Unit.
